Ciao!

I'm writing to you from a train between Rome and Naples, eating a 6 euro panini with pistachios, stracciatella, and mortadella that's frankly better than anything I've had in a long time. I got Covid last week (yes, it's still a thing) which put me behind on everything, again. Instead of panicking, flying straight Paris-NYC and being glued to my computer in the city on Memorial Day weekend, I decided to pause and detour through Italy.

There's so much good stuff happening at Ghia - we just launched a fun, build your own spritz bundle, are kicking at Whole Foods, got our Ghia-Soda Spritz into 690 Target stores, and even launched in Trader Joe’s in NYC! New retailers, new flavors, new team members, new ideas - but never enough resources or hours in the day. Almost 7 years into building this company, I think my best learning is that sometimes, stepping away from the issue, even for just a little, is best.

The next few weeks are a race before I start losing people to summer, and hopefully get to free up a bit of mine too. So this weekend, while America does its thing and discounts its soul an extra 40% off, I'll be soaking up some Mediterranean sun and reading Dolly Alderton with an analcolico spritz and a nocciola gelato. Not all is bad though, I just bought a shirt from Madewell for $11. Here’s what else I’m browsing and maybe buying.

Before we dive in, these are not on sale but this is my house and they are very, very worth mentioning! Think of it more as my current wishlist.

The Sales

The Net-a-porter private sale is a trove! Though you must sort by size - sadly for me a lot of the small sizes are long gone, but I managed to snag these Row sandals 50% off. There is ton of A. Emery and great great summer shoes - have fun!

CO, one of the brands I wear the most, is very on sale and has an extra 10% going through the weekend. I love CO’s timeless elegance - luxurious knits and a striped silk shirt that makes me feel like a grown Woman - girls don’t wear silk, women do. Co is offering an extra 10% all weekend on their site. For full-priced items, you can always use the code MELANIE15 - the clutch is a great investment.

UBeauty has free shipping going on all weekend and gave me 20% off for you guys with the code MELANIE. It’s maybe the brand I’m the most excited about in my beauty cabinet at the moment - the sheer sunscreen goes on like a dream and the resurfacing compound is a fun weekly ritual (my skin loves exfoliation so I go a full 20 min).

SSense rules, obviously. I got this Sophie Buhai clip and am so tempted by this Auralee low back dress. There are also still a few sizes of the Dries sneakers at a good discount, too!

Perhaps the deepest discounts are at Madewell - which is a crazy extra 40% off sale, sometimes 40% over 80%. I love these jeans that remind me of the Chloe ones I wore for a shoot and had to give back, and I bought this flannel shirt and the best wallet ever.

Gap has incredible t-shirts, all under $15, from striped to apron. I ordered a few including this brown one (brown tshirts are very useful to make an outfit, trust me) and hope they look good!

J.Crew has a sale up to 50% off on most of its site, and its summer looks remain undefeated. I tried to add this gorgeous $65 bag to the collage but because of the netting, couldn’t make it look good. This sheer embroidered set is also lovely.

Anemos is 20% site wide, for fun skinny bikinis and v flattering 90s style dresses.

Leset is 20% off sitewide so I’m reupping on Margo t-shirts and considering the Barb lace crop pants.

Saks has the best Loewe on sale: Sunglasses, Mules or nicely discounted Flamenco - I have this silver bag because the brand sent it to me, insane I know, and it’s soft to the touch like a pet from space.

Soft Services is having an anniversary sale with 10% sitewide. I’ve professed my love of their Theraplush here many times but this body breakout buster is also great ahead of summer.

Dehanche is offering an extra 30% off their discounted belts - I love this burgundy one so much (but then again I have a problem with belts).

I really like LDMA underwear (though I size up because I have hips) and they’re having a 20-35% off depending on how much you spend.
